Labels as single measures are often used in Apps. Unfortunately it is not possible to use them for filters. It's always needed to go via the generic filter where the measure needs to be found and selected.
How about allowing to start/manage the filter for this measure by clicking (right click) on the label?

I think this feature is already there, you can use Button component and apply filter to it. And you can assign the measure as the filter for this button.

The idea is to use it like a short cut to set a filter for that measure. Normally you have to click on the adhoc filter. You need to know the name of the measure. Then you start the selection/setting of the filter.
Could be more comfortable and intuitive when the filter setting directly opens when you click/right click on the measure. See attached mock-up.
I think it is especially helpful when there is no distribution chart next to the measure.
